Customizing Searches
The Searches can be page and subject specific, or they will search all files in a specific folder.
The default search criteria is, to match all the words entered in the Search box with a single paragraph. If any word cannot be found in that paragraph it will not be displayed in the results.
If the tick box is ticked, then any word entered in the search box can be matched with words in a paragraph. If any word is found it will result in that paragraph being displayed.
The Search box will also except Positive "+" and Negative "-" signs.
- Positive signed words identify the words that must be found in a paragraph.
- Negative words identify the words that are to be rejected.
When any negative words are found in a paragraph, that paragraph it will not be displayed in the results.
Positive and Negative values can be entered in any order.
The search words can also match any part of larger words e.g. "Word" matches with "words".
Upper and Lower case letters are ignored when searching.
Non letter or number characters can be used to locate specific words e.g. "end." matches with "end." or "End." but not "end" without the dot.
All words that follow a Positive or Negative sign match that sign under a different sign is encountered.
